We Toured Munich!
Our travels have gone as smoothly as can be expected so far. We left Nashville yesterday at 2:00 p.m. and flew to Newark. Our flight was delayed leaving Newark by almost an hour, but I understand that's par for the course for Newark. It didn't seem to affect our arrival time in Munich; we were within a few minutes of our scheduled arrival time of 10:15 a.m. there. The plane was really nice and we had luxurious premium economy seats! On this 7-hour flight, we were served dinner and breakfast, and in between we were only given about 4 hours to rest. So all things considered, we did pretty good today.
Audi is paying for our first night in Germany, at the Munich Airport Hilton! As the name indicates, it is located at the airport, so we were able to walk there after retrieving our bags. How easy is that?! We only had to kill about an hour before our room was ready - wonderful! After spending a few minutes settling in, we set out on our first German adventure.
Here is a photo of Brock at the airport:

We took the train directly from our hotel (and the airport) to Marienplatz, the downtown touristy part of Munich. This was not as easy as it sounds; it took us a while to figure out how to buy the tickets, then it took us a while to figure out which train to get on, but then we had it down. Then it was an easy 40 minute ride to this part of town.
Here is the Ratskellar (town hall) in Marienplatz, which was built in the 1400's we believe:

We liked these twin clock towers in Marienplatz:

There was an outdoor farmer's market in Marienplatz, and here is a colorful scene from there:

We walked into a lovely church in the Marienplatz area, and here is an image from there:

Tomorrow our day starts at 8:00 a.m., when a representative from Audi will pick us up in the hotel lobby and take us to the Audi factory in Ingolstadt, where we will meet our new car!!! So the excitement is only just beginning! Stay tuned! We are going to sign off now and try to get a good night's sleep.
We hope everyone back at home is doing great, we miss you all, and GO TITANS!!!
