Kudos
Yesterday (Tuesday, October 10) we had to say good-bye to Bella. Boo hoo! We dropped her off at a facility called "Loginout" which will take care of getting her shipped to us in the U. S. Bella survived our adventure in good shape, with just one minor scratch under the front bumper.

As you can see, Loginout was in close proximity to the Hilton where we were staying, so it was very convenient for us to drop her off. The process only took about 20 minutes. So Kudos to Audi - our European Delivery was extremely successful, an unforgettable adventure, and they made it easy and enjoyable for us!

What a great looking and great driving car! We hope to be reunited with Bella around Christmas time.
Also, Kudos to the Munich Airport Hilton. We stored our bags on a cart with them after we checked out and while we were taking care of dropping off Bella. When we were ready, a bellman wheeled the cart into the airport for us, right to Lufthansa check-in, which was just a minute walk from the Hilton and on the same level. As we checked in, the bellman put our 4 pieces of luggage on the Lufthansa conveyor belt for us. We never had to touch the luggage! Now THAT is service! Thank you, Hilton!
Our experience at the Munich Airport could not have been smoother or easier, in large part because of our decision to stay at the Hilton.
Our flight departed from Munich at 3:35 p.m. It was a 9 hour flight, and we had a dinner and a snack which helped to break things up. We arrived in Toronto at 6:40 p.m., right on schedule. Here's where the "fun" began.
Our flight to Nashville was supposed to leave at 8:40 p.m. but was delayed from the get go. The revised departure time was 9:50. They got us all loaded, and then we sat for a long time, and then the pilot announced that there was a mechanical problem.
We had been up a long time, since around 7:30 a.m. Munich time. We were doing good until all these delays began. Then all we wanted to do was be in Nashville and crawl into our bed.
They moved us to another plane, got us all loaded up, and I think it was 11:30 p.m. Eastern time when we finally took off.
The flight landed in Nashville at around 12:30 p.m. Central time.
All we had to do was gather our luggage, grab our ride, and crawl into bed. Easy, right? Not so fast. You guessed it, more delays! My luggage came out but Brock's didn't. So he had to deal with that before we could leave the airport.
If everything had gone according to plan, we would have been sleeping by 10:30 p.m. Instead, we finally fell asleep in our own bed by 2:00 a.m.
Oh well, I guess it beats taking an ocean liner across the sea!
We will eventually catch up on our sleep and adjust our internal clocks back to Nashville time.
The important thing is, Bella is safely on her way to the United States, we are home safely, and Brock's luggage did eventually arrive on Wednesday.
Thank you for reading this blog!
