Celebrate!
So... our beloved Tennessee Titans NFL team started the 2019 season 2-4, and things were looking bad. But then the coach made a quarterback change (to Ryan Tannehill), and Running Back Derrick Henry started breaking records, and the whole season turned around. The Titans eked into the playoffs as an AFC wildcard #6 seed. In the first round (wildcard weekend), the Titans played the defending National Champions, the New England Patriots and, in an upset, defeated them! On to round 2. The Titans next played the AFC #1 seed, the Baltimore Ravens, whom many people picked to win the Super Bowl. Guess what? The Titans not only beat them but made them "eat crow"! Now it's on to the AFC Championship game, which will be held on Sunday, Jan. 19. We are so excited we can hardly stand it. But... on Wednesday we're traveling to Europe! So we're sending our "seconds", Brock Jr. and his wife Brittany, to Kansas City to represent us as enthusiastic Titans fans and help cheer the team to another victory and into the Super Bowl, we hope! If the quest for the Super Bowl ends in Kansas City, it's still been an incredibly successful season.
Right now we have many great things to celebrate:
An unexpectedly successful Titans season that's still rolling;
Good health;
Happiness;
Good friends;
Prosperity;
Three amazing children and their spouses, and two healthy grandchildren; and last but not least,
Brock's 60th birthday (actual date: March 25, 2020)!
To celebrate all these things, and especially #7, we are going to Ski Around The World in 2020!
Our first stop is Europe!

Feb. 21 - Verbier, Switzerland
Feb. 26 - Val D'Isere, France
March 2 - Chamonix, France
March 7 - Soldeu, Andorra
March 13 - Barcelona, Spain
March 15 - Return to Nashville
In case you're counting, that's 8 countries and at least 11 different ski resorts!
This is just the tip of the iceberg. We also have planned ski trips to Scandinavia in April/May, South America and Machu Picchu in June/July, Australia and New Zealand in August/September, Switzerland in October, Canada in November, and Japan in December.
We would love to have you join us along the way. But in case you can't, reading this blog will be the next best way to live vicariously. Stay tuned! The plane to Munich is warming up now!
